DMA have teamed up with Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England to deliver Arts Award to DMA Members age 7+. 

Arts Award is a highly respected and a truly universal qualification. Their mission is to support young people who want to deepen their engagement with the arts, build creative and leadership skills and achieve a national qualification. 

If actors are not preparing for an upcoming casting. The Arts Award is a great qualification to be working towards and compliments the skills actors already have as it allows young people to enjoy the arts and develop as artists and art leaders. 

It is especially powerful in developing young people from all backgrounds as creative artists and arts leaders, nurturing their understanding of routes to employment in the creative and cultural sector. 

To obtain an Arts Award you must: 

Take part in different arts activities

Be inspired by artists and arts organisations

Experience arts events

Share your arts skills with others

Put together a portfolio or arts log in your own choice of format

Set yourself arts challenges

Organise your own projects

Research arts careers and the arts sector

You can do an Arts Award in any area of the arts from fashion to poetry, music to dancing, sculpture to film. You can be an artist or performer, or develop your skills in essential roles like marketing or stage management.
